Square Footage

Of course, the bigger the dock, the more pilings and wood are required so your materials cost is higher. And the more of those things that must be installed impacts the amount of labor required to do the installation.

Site Requirements

Not typically in St Pete Beach, but sometimes the location of your property or the way it sits relative the water adds a level of difficulty to the job.

Also, in some areas there is construction debris under the soil right outside the seawall. A common practice at some time was to dump construction materials, like cement, right into the water. That can make it twice as hard to drive pilings in. Adds time to the job.

Special Features

Believe it or not, it’s not too expensive to add things like benches to a dock. But if you decide on a Boat House (which are great!) you will, of course, be investing more.
